I came across some LS90's in great shape today. A doctor traded them in on a pair of LSi 25's. The shop wants 800 for the pair. Is this to much???

P.S. They are the rose Wood. Thanks

Haven't seen these in used market before. One "blue book" places their value at $650.

Thanks Tour,
I will see if they will come down to 650. I would love them for a 2 channel rig. Mark

You're welcome and good luck. Should the seller ask, it was the Orion blue book the $650 was in.

They look sweet in the Polk library pics, reminiscent of the RTi150's. Could be power hungry like them as well.

Audiogon had some listed for sale awhile back for $500. Good but not mint.

well The 90's are a no go. I guess some one came in yesterday and paid him the full 800. Hope they went to a good home.

second that! a pair of 15 would make you grin ear to ear...watch for it, since a couple months ago a member snatch one up for $750 authorized store demo. Dorokusai is our certified Polk's deal watcher :) . Bribe him with a bottle of Cabernet and he will take care of the details...

Hullo polkatese!

Ive had a lot of time w/ the LS90's through a friend...with the right set up these speakers sound like a $3000Ępair of speakers such as Viennas and Sonus Faber...do you guys think the 15's can really outshine the 90's?

Howdy LSi9!
Ofcourse it's just IMHO that I based my comments, strictly from my setup potential. Given the right source and amplification, 15 can really shines. Price wise, the original poster start with $800, which I think is really right there for a 15. At the minimum, he owes it to himself to audition 15....as always, YMMV (the beauty of subjectivity in this hobby of ours!)...:)

please dont take this wrong, i have never had a chance to audition the lsi line but they look like the lsi center bolted on to a sub is that a correct assumption? i know polk tests and designs the sub to match the center but is that what the 15s are? ohh and to be perfectly clear i am not bashing them just curious.

I have no desire to upgrade my 90's. They will stay in my HT until they rot away. And with the B&K pumping 150wpc now, that may be sooner rather than later.:(

More like an Lsi9 and a sub. The 15's have an active, but not powered sub. The 25's on the other hand do have a powered sub. The LsiC crossover is different than the crosovers used any of the other Lsi speakers.
