I'm not to good with the systems, but I got an 89' mustang with 4 12' JL audios that are in the backseat. I have a few friends who have just 1 or 2 12's and it hits harder. I have a 2500 watt amp. pushen it, but im thinken it could be because i have no ports on the box. Have any suggestions?

i think this one drilled a port into the back of his cranium and all his "brainz" drained out over time... or if his brain tissue was of the same resonant frequency as the port's tuning frequency, this could have resulted in the same symptoms.

Face it, everyone is a genious/ expert/ guru when it comes to posting on the internet. It is easy to weed out the imposters however.
The poster asked a question because he wanted some feedback. Personally I think it makes sense to ask about something when you are unsure, however it makes no sense at all to post like a little giggley girl and attempt to ridicule someone else for asking a question, no knowledgable poster would stoop to that level. Car audio is not an instinct, everyone had to learn what they know from others, whether in print, practice, or whatever. The ones who know the least are ALWAYS the most obnoxious and first to slam others. Look in any car owned by a smart-azz reply poster, you will find either:
1) No System, If you find a system at all, it will not be what they claim it is, in fact it will likely be a butchered factory mess with a quadzillion watt label swapmeet amp somewhere in the tangle making loud distortion through unmounted speaks with dad's old 3 way spitting confetti buzz as the sub.
or
2) The latest & greatest of everything, thanks to mom's credit card or someone with a slim-jim. Sounds worse than a garbage truck on a bumpy road and three times louder to drown the noise of the butchered exhaust system combined with the alternator's overworked neon whine & the rattles from poor ride due to the low profile wrong offset rims & tires
Or a combination of the two.

Original Poister - No offense, but your install must suck. What kind of JLs do you have? You must know what kind of sub you have. What sub did the other guy have? My 1 12" beats 4 12" sony eXplodes so it does make sense that you could lose, but depending on your JLs, you maybe should have won.
