There are great prices right now on the Rti70's ($199 ea. at H.H. Gregg). Right now I have the Rti38's up front. Is it worth the money to upgrade to the 70's?

My room is 13' x 20'. I'm about 40/60 movies/music. I prefer to listen to music in two channel mode. I don't play movies or music very loudly. And I have a kick-ass sub (Hsu VTF-2), so bass is not a major issue.

To get the 70's, I would return my 28's that are currently on the sixth channel, move the 38's to the rear (4th and 5th channels), then move my other pair of 28's to the 6th channel. The effective cost of the upgrade would be $220 plus tax.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Sounds good to me. You should get a fuller sound with the 70's up front. If you're running the mains on small, it's hard to tell. Try to audition the 70's if you're not sure.

Just read your post again. For $220 you can't go wrong. I'd say go for it.

I would get them and try them while you can. Im sure HH Gregg will run out of them soon enough. Once you get them setup I think you shuld have me over for a demo. I am interested to hear your HSU with the towers.

You in Indy?

well worth the money the 70's do have a better sound (for front L/R) then the 38's because of the 2-mids and the cabnet size being bigger. You snooze you loose IMO.
