Greetings Everyone. As you can see, this is my first post. As of late, I have been auditioning some new speakers for what I hope to be my new HT. I have been listening to Polk and Klipsch. My old HT consisted of
Yamaha RX V995
Klipsch KG 4.5 Fronts
Klipsch SC1 Center
Klipsch Rears, forgot the #
DCM Sub212
I sold my items to my sister in law's husband before I moved to
Arizona about 1 year ago and have been without anything since. Now that I am back in Cali I and finally situated I think it is time for me to get the process started once more.
I have been to CC and been listening to the RTi 12's and the CSi5. They are very nice looking and sound great. What I like about CC is they have a 1 year speaker upgrade. I was thinking of starting off with the CSi3, auditioning it at home for a bit and then get the CSi5. I dont have a reciever right now but planned on buying a Denon 1603 just for now then upgrading down the road.
Well last night was my wife's family Christmas party. We did the secret Santa thing $30 limit and my sister in law's husband picked my name. When he walked in late to the party and had this gift in his hand I knew instantly what it is. When I finally opened it, there it was the CSi3 center channel. This guy spen an axtra $170. I felt guilty taking it, but he insisted that I open it, so much in fact that HE opened it.
I wasnt sure which way to go on speakers Polk or Klipsch, but this must be a sign from above. I am now for the first time part of the Polk family. Eww I just got goose bumps. Now its time to buy that receiver.
Thanks Everyone and Happy Holidays.
