Hello. I am currently attempting to upgrade my speakers to Polk and I had a few questions. I am beginning with my surrounds. I was wondering what people thought of using LSiFX speakers as my surround mains and RTi4's as my surround backs (I have a 7.1 system)? Would the RTi4's be enough for a decent-sized movie room or should I step up to the RTi6's?

My second question is whether the LSiFX speakers will sound good with the RTi series. I'm new to Polk, so I didn't know if I should go with the LSiFX's or if they are an old model that is on the way out or if there is a better surround speaker I should consider. Any help would be appreciated!!

My final question is where can I find a good place to purchase the LSiFX speakers or other models? I've found a website that has them for $650, but I don't know if I can trust that I will get them in good shape.

This is my first post, so hopefully I haven't rambled on too long. I look forward to upgrading to Polk. If anything I've written doesn't sound right, please don't hesitate to let me have it. Thanks!

Welcome to the forum.

The LSi's are 4 Ohm speakers and the Rti are 8 Ohm speakers. What kind of receiver do you have? Can it handle a 4 Ohm load. If it can't that might make your choice a little easier.

I have Onkyo's flagship TX-DS989 receiver, so I'm pretty sure I can handle the load. Do you know of a good website to purchase the LXi?
