any suggestions?

i have a 1991 ford thunderbird and the factory speakers in the back are 6x8's and i recently purchased some new polk 6x9 mmc690's and a pioneer 240 watt amp to push them. the speakers wont fit so i am going to need to make some modifications by cutting out bigger places for the speakers. does anyone have any advice or suggestions that might help with this opperation?

check around...I know they make ring adaptors for just that... think crutchfield might have some...though not my fav. place

went to the website but the only thing they had that fits your description would be for putting smaller speakers in bigger holes. any other suggestions? thanks for the help ice.

well...if ya have a jigg saw...thats what i use to cut my metal in the car... done it many many many times....

theres an easier way...but it costs money to take it to a shop:)

Hey, I dont know if you have access to a rotozip or not, but that is the easiest way to accomplish your task. You'll have to get a metal bit or a carbide bit, but it works best. You can adjust the depth that the bit will cut with the collar on the 'zip, that way you dont go cutting the back window up!
