I'm new here, but have been lurking a while and appreciate the wealth of knowledge. I need some help choosing a new AV receiver. I have new RTi8's for fronts, CSi3 center, and RTi4's for rear. My present receiver is a Sony STRDE575, so I need an upgrade! A friend has a Denon 2803 he will sell for $400, which is in my price range, but I've been looking at new Onkyo 601's and 701's or buying a new Denon 2803 or even 3803. I like the prices I've seen of the Onkyo 601, but wonder if I'll be satisfied with that choice in the long run. Help! Thanks in advance.

Check out the flea market. I'd jump on ATC's "magic box" if it was me

Well, after much debate, I decided on the Onkyo 701. Onecall.com has it for $599 + shipping and until 31 January they are also giving a $50 rebate, so, much cheaper than anyhwere else. CC price is $799! So, that's my choice and I'm sticking to it!

The 3803 will be replacd by the 3805 very soon. The 3805 was on display at the CES. Hopefully prices on the 3803 will drop soon! If that happens that may be a good deal too!
