I picked up Bachman Turner Overdrive (Not Fragile) on vinyl this weekend at the Berlin farmer's market in New Jersey! I think it is my new favorite! The Bass player is fantastic!
I saw BTO at Six Flags years back.
Naturally it cost money to see the concert.
Funny thing was, there was what seemed like 25 people "inside" the concert, and 1500 people standing outside the "open air" venue getting it for free!
I was in the "free" crowd.
They sounded excellent however.

Hey. I am looking at changing my CD player out. Should I go with a Oppo so I can play SACD? What difference would I hear with SACD? My gut feeling tells me that the "hiss" between the silent periods would be gone. What else?

LOL, I stole the picture off the internet myself. I like to take my own, but sometimes when I'm in a hurry I "borrow" one online...
I am a big fan of SACDs. Most of the time I can hear a difference between a redbook CD and an SACD of the same title, sometimes a very dramatic difference. A good SACD recording will have a blacker background, a wider and deeper soundstage, more detail, and overall a much more analog sound. And SACDs are pretty much immune to the "loudness war", offering much better dynamic range...
The Oppo's are a good place to start, and as a bonus the video quality of their players is fantastic! Also, there are good deals to be had on the used market (including right here on the forum):
Sal's Denon would be fantastic for the price:

Thanks for the advice Rick. I was hoping that you would say that SACD took care of the white noise in the recording also. O well, I will think about it awhile. There are a few other things that I should buy before I make a SACD player purchase.

I have three working Squeezeboxes and really love them. I'm also trialing the primo version of MOG right now, and it is pretty awesome. I like their web player, and their mobile apps as well. They normally give a 14 day free trial of the primo service, but I did a little googling and found a coupon from Starbucks for a 30 day free trial. You have to put your credit card in then cancel, but I'm thinking I may just keep it for a few months. I like MOG much better than Spotify, but haven't compared to Rhapsody.
