Cry of Love Awesome band great album not one bad song, do you have thier 2nd Album, different singer but just as good I was lucky enough to have seen them. To bad Audery Freed left Cry of Love to join the Black Crowes. I have that Stanley Clarke. Good choices.

Not much, ready to get out of here for the weekend. This will be the first day this week that I'm not staying over 4 hrs, I'm tired...
My new "budget" integrated amp and SACD player both arrived yesterday and I'm looking forward to putting them through their paces over the weekend to see if they'll meet my high expectations or not... I'll be disclosing what they are (with photos) later...

Hi guys, I've been gone for awhile to do my grocery shopping and laundry. So far I'm really digging the new SACD player, as well as the matching integrated amp. While they are not as good as what they are replacing, they are very good budget units...

So far I'm pretty impressed with both pieces... They have the clean/uncluttered looks and simple controls that I'm a fan of, excellent build quality for their price range, and most importantly they sound very good... This little 40 wpc class D amp is a dual mono design, and for its height of only 3 1/8 inches it weighs nearly 23 lbs, and it feels very substantial... My early feeling is that both pieces will likely be staying right here, I only wish that they were available in silver here in the US...

Hello chumlie, yes I am using the RTi6's with the new Onkyo gear. It's a pretty good combo, as long as you keep it at a reasonable volume level. At higher levels it can sound a bit bright with some material, but those are levels higher than I can listen with my current housing situation...

I just watched the DVD that came with the deluxe edition of the new Joe Walsh CD, and it is excellent... Joe performs 3 songs from the new album at the Troubadour, with Jeff Lynne joining him (playing a Fender Telecaster) on two of the songs... Joe also talks about the songs a little in between each song... The picture and sound quality (2 channel only) are very good, in fact the sound quality is better than the CD... I highly recommend the deluxe edition because of this DVD, and it is only $11.88 at Walmart.....

I doubt there's enough time in your day to listen to them all. Big Dead fan myself.
My favorite Dead album. Grateful Dead ( Skull & Roses lp )
I don't own that one, but probably heard it years ago. I decided to listen to it on MOG today, and it just blew me away. Maybe the most straight ahead rock and roll I've heard from the Dead, and so, so tight. The guitar tones (both Jerry & Bob) are so nasty and crunchy (a good thing), and I really like the stripped down one drummer sound. Thanks for mentioning it!

Cool Charlie. You will absolutely find it one of the best sounding CD's you own. It's that good. The MFSL Fragile is very good as well, but I think The YES Album sounds better overall. I haven't heard Fragile in a while however. I may listen to it again soon. What speakers are you using in your system again?
I will ship out the Beatles MFSL Abbey Road tomorrow. Sorry for taking so long, I had to install Nero and then burn it. I have it packaged up with your address on it and just need to drop it off at the post office. Will do tomorrow.

Wow just wow. I'm now a believer in spending the extra dough on MFSL cd. First impresion the packageing is 2nd to none. Now the sound. On my Grado SR80's. Neighbors are home so i can't give it a good listen loud on my speakers.
Track 1: Yours is no disgrace. Bass tracks & acoustic guitar are phenomenal.
Track 2: The Clap. Acoustic guitar sound is so natural.
Track 3: Starship trooper. Drum tracks & guitar seperation.
Track 4: I've seen all good people. Bass tracks sound like your there.
Track 5: A venture. The PIANO !!!
Track 6: Perpetual change. The suttle guitar in the background.
These are my first impressions of this disc. So not to kiss any a$$. But Greg '' headrott '' is correct. A real bargain at Amazon for $25. From now on i will spend the extra dough for the MFSL copy if this is any indication of the differance. Once again thank you to the fine folks at CP.

Sorry GG. But i'm gonna keep hangin around. Post whore out.
Now playing Pink Floyd; Dark Side Of The Moon.
Yep!!! This is an outstanding sounding CD. One of the best in my collection. I am glad you like it! One of the best MFSL CD's I have heard, quite honestly.

I saw TTB in Seattle last Friday, and was completely blown away. Just a fantastic band with great players and a great sense of dynamics and musicality. If they are coming to your town, you really should go see them. This album makes me smile, because it is so good. It's also a really good representation of what their shows sound and feel like (if you turn it up really loud).

Joe Walsh-Analog Man
Can't get enough of this one, Joe's sobriety has not hampered his tounge and cheek lyrics, nor his guitar playing. With Jeff Lynn and Ringo Starr sharing the percussion duties, not to mention Jeff Lynnproducing makes for a pretty darn good Joe Walsh Album.
The highlights for me are The Band played on and Fishbones. My babies got a Fishbones stuck right down where she swallers, to good, typical Walsh lyrics

Crank er up tomorrow Rick that Walsh is good, it's not So What or Barnstorm, but good none the less. I like your new rig, I came close to getting that Onkyo Sacd player, but got a good deal on a Marantz Cd 5003 new in the box for $ 250 and couldn't pass that deal up. Listening to the new Rush-Clockwork Angels can't get enough of this one neither.

Thanks, I'm quite pleased with the new Onkyo gear. While clearly not as good as what it is replacing, for the money spent it is very respectable, and I'm pretty hard to please...

Don't let my comments hold you back. Not sure why Corgan doesn't put these out as solo albums since the rest of the band is basically a lazy suzan of musicians.
It's weird though, I normally like when he is more aggressive with the songs, but I more like the few that are stripped down a bit with some acoustic guitar on this one.
