Got Some monster banana connectors for my speakers. I was wondering how to connect them to the center(CS400i). There is no hole on the end of the binding post for the banana. I thought that they were 5-way. Am I suppose to pop the little plastic end piece off of the of the binding post? Just wanted to know before I break something.

grab a butter knife and pop out the little black plastic piece in the binding post. its there because of issues in europe. dont worry about saving them. then you can use the banannas

Unscrew the caps from the binding post, they fall right out.

Take the cap and place it back on and screw it back on. Simple

We had one guy a few years ago actually drill out the posts.....

No, it wasn't me.

if you use your drill.. make sure you wear safety goggles.. i did. :D

lay your speaker on the floor. plug in the drill. straddle the speaker.. and with a gentle yet firm pressure. apply the drill at high speed to the little plastic cap.. continue till it's all ground up.. works great.

:p

Sounds great. The only bit I have is a 3/4 inch. Will that do the trick? I do have a big vise though. It should hold the speaker really good. I sure don't want that big sucker to get away from me.
