I'm sure I'm the hundredth person to ask this question, but are there any good mounting options for setups with a big screen tv with no shelf above?

I obviously can't put the center below the TV, and there's no shelf above, and I don't think it will fit on top...

Anyone else run into this??? was thinking of mounting, but not sure about sound quality...

Would something like this help you out?

Then tilt the center down a bit till it is aimed at your seating position ear level.

Hi, I have a solution. I use the Polk CS400 for my center(which is a heavy speaker)and needed somthing very sturdy to put it right above my Sony 36" Wega.
I bought a wall mount for a small TV. It can hold up to 100lbs, made to have a slight downward angle(sweet because the speakers are positioned to my seating level instead of going above my head) and the base(platform) of the wall mount is the same size as my speaker. It suspends the speaker perfectlyand safely.

If you want the sound to seem to come from the center of the screen, do this. One on either side. Yeah Yeah Yeah, I know I need to clean up!

I had my center on top for about a year and a half, even angled it and was never happy with it. Best solution I've found is to have it below the screen and angled up. Doing this not only makes all the center channel info come "from the screen" but vastly improved panning as well. This is the center stand I'm using:

I designed and made my own center channel stand which was cheap and works great.

Those are 2 400's for the centers, my 3.1's are out of the picture.
