Hi, I just purchased MM465 component system to put in the front door speaker opening in my 98 civic coupe and thinking about purchasing the MM455 component system and install it with a kick panel. I will also intall MB Quart DTC-169 6x9 speakers in the rear. What kind of amp will be good enough to power all these speakers? I'm thinking about rockford fosgate 800.4 (4 channels, 100 watts rms at 4 ohms) Will this amp give enough power or not? any recommendation?
The Rockford 800a4 will drive these component just fine. If you like to listen to music at higher listening levels, then look for a amp that has a power rating of 150 Watts per channel. You might even want to consider using 2 of the 800a2's. If possible, see if your dealer stocks the "Power Series". This series does sound better than the "Punch Series". It does cost more, but the end result is well worth it. Set the high pass crossover to 90 Hertz.
Happy Listening!!
