Jeep Wrangler Center Consile Sub Woofer

I want to replace my OEM center console sub woofer. It is 8" I believe. Is the Polk 8" a good replacement? Will it fit? Is the center console a decent enclosure for this? I was told the console could crack because it is plastic enclosure. Do I need a 5 channel amp to drive this? I replaced the 4 other OEM speakers with Polk and want to finish the speaker replacement. Thanks for any advice you can provide.

as far as it cracking, i dont know, but i doubt its a good enclosure
im sure if you look around (sounddomain, crutchfield) you can find a replacement console thatll stand up better to a decent sub
as far as a 5 channel go for it, possibly even a 3 channel, and let your deck power your rear speakers
