hi, I was wondering what exactly is the difference between linear and mechanical movement. What happens when you go past linear? What happens if you reach mechanical, blown sub? .......Thanks

Linear refers to the drivers excursion within the limits of the voice coil winding. Mechanical is the excursion limitations of the drivers surround, and spider. This measurement is done in one direction
from the resting position of the voice coil. Hope this helps.
