setting up csi3

I love my new CSi3 center-channel speakers, but I've got to ask one question. The speakers come with a white styrofoam-like material between the speaker grille and the speaker. I'm guessing this should be disposed of, but I just wanted to make sure. I can't figure out what use it might have, so I just wanted to check. Thanks!

It's just there to protect the speakers. Chuck it!

Some folks keep all the packing material in case they want to return the speaker to polk or sell it at some point, just something to consider.;)
