I've the Yamaha 5660 receiver which allows changing the graphic equalizer setting for center channel (100,300,1K,3K,10K).
If I were to raise all the frequency levels up to the maximum, would the net effect be just a increase in the volume? Or are there other side effects?
Just so you know, I have the Polk RM 6005 and I am doing this because the center channel sounds a tad low in volume. Human voices are not very audible. If I increase the dB level of the center channel, it becomes slightly "boxy". I am hoping that the center channel equilizer will help solve my problem.
Please advice.
