Hey Bullwinkle-glad you like your system setup. You sound like me years ago when I first hooked up my TV to my stereo system. I'm 47 yrs old and I was the first on the block so to speak to hook a TV up to a stereo. Back then you had to go inside and literally hook into the speaker connections on the TV to get a connection. Once in a while you'd run across a TV that had a headphone jack. But anyway, I would hook this up to an AUX jack on the back of my receiver. It would of course be MONO, but damn the difference in sound between the TV's 3 1/2" or so speaker compared to whatever your stereo system was using was an AMAZING difference. And I'm talking about this setup from around '75 or '76. Trust me what I've just described back then hooked up to you stereo system, was killer. And it was awesome to all my friends.
My 2cents................

Thanks,
Mitchell

my bro bought a altec lansing (not sure of spelling) hooked it up to his TV and it kicks the tv sound, this just goes to show that speakers in TV suck !!!! to be honest they sounded pretty much like the Bose am6III that we just sold (our bedroom system) and he paid 150$......thats a whole other can of worms..but all that to say yeah !! good for you, sit back and enjoy !!!

From bullwinkle1968's signature in the original post: BI AMPED AND BI WIRED TO MY POLK RTI 150'S.

How exactly are you doing this?

I know what you're talking about. I just recently completed the setup of my home theater. Very fun stuff.

i have it hooked up this way

on my HK 7200 right and left channel to the upper mids and tweets

and on my HK PA2000 it is in 2 channel bridge mode and i have preamp wires coming out of my HK 7200 going into my HK PA 2000
and then i have my bridge wires coming out of my amp going to my lower set of speakers on y rti 150's you need to take the gold connector out between the two sets of posts on the 150 and divide them between the reciever and the amp.

O.k. What you just described is indeed bi-amping, not bi-wiring.

Either way, that sounds like a sweet setup you've got going there.
