Polk MM12 or Alpine Type R with this amp?

My amp: RF 401S (400wrms @ 4ohms)

I know it's not enough to juice to run an MM12 @ 100% but would it be better than a 300wrms 12" Type R ??

I've heard so many comments about blown subs from Polk/Momo, it's hard to decide...

Right now, I'm testing the Alpine Type R, wich is AMAZING! The first 20 hours, the was nothing impressive.. But it seems like the more I push it, the more it becomes great..

I didn't changed my gain settings, since I sold my mtx 8000, so must be around 70-75%...

And the "only" 300 wrms alpine can handle it.. woooo it's sooooo loud!

Anyway, I'll try to have a mm12 to test... hard to find under 600$cad here in Canada... so most places won't let me try it heeh

well, if you like the type R's, then grab them, theyre a great sub as well
youre theyre to please yourself, not anyone else:)
