What does everyone think about the pros and cons of the new RTi towers? I am planning to set up a HT system in a new dedicated theater room with 7.1 Surround. (Denon AVR-3805) I think I will use a CSi5 Center, and four FXi3 Surrounds. I plan to purchase a monster powered sub, probably a HSU. I am debating the mains. With the sub, I would think the RTi8's would be okay. I have heard concerns on the mid-range of the RTi10's. Would the RTi12's give me any advantage when listening to music? (I will use the room for listening also.)

Comments anyone?

My personal preference is RTi8 plus monster sub is better than RTi12, especially if you are running a 3805.

I do agree. Switching back and forth from RTi8 - RTi10 - RTi12, I liked the RTi8's best. I would have bought the 8's if the RTi70's wouldn't have been so cheap.

After yesterday, could not agree more with Spec. I'm running the 70's with a Monster SVS sub (PB2+) and could not be happier. See thread below.

My current system:
Hitachi 65T500
Yamaha rx-v1400
RTi8's front
CSi5 center
FXi3's surround
PSW505 sub

You will love the CSi5 for voice clarity in movies and you will love the RTi8s for music and home theater. The fxi3's are great side/rear speakers for surround because of the bipole/dipole switch. You don't know exactly where the sound is coming from.

I have the Rti10 and Rti6's(and Polk sub) and love the combination.

I would vote RTi8, given your information.

One option would be to try and find some RTi70's and listen if they would be for your taste. Not as bright as the RTi8. They can be found for less than $300 per pair, clearing way for the new RTi lineup. If you like them, you can put the money that you saved to that sub. PB2 Ultra that Doc has would be nice, I have a 16-46PCi and even that one kicks you in the chest on my fairly large and open room.

The final judgement of course should be made by your ears, go and listen to them side-by-side.
