Ok.....here is a little problem.

I have Lsi15's upfront, currently running FXi30's as surronds, and Csi40 as my center.

For my birthday, (early, I can not open them until june) I got the LSiFX's.

I want to upgrade the center to the LSiC.
I am only running 5.1 with no plans to going to 6.1 or 7.1 anytime soon due to the required upgrade of the reciever that would be needed.

The CSi40 is 3 years old and not from CC. The FXi30's are less than a year old, and were purchased from CC, and are still able to be used in the trade-up policy. That being the case what do you think the best plan of action is? Do I up grade the FXi30's to the new Fxi5's and just sit on those untill I go 7.1, or just sell the FXi30's and the CSi40 to offset the cost of the new LSiC?

Any input would be great. If anybody else has any other ideas please feel free to offer.

thanks....

Sell the CSi40 ... Sell or use the FXi30's to upgrade to LXiC.

Your front sound stage won't be timbre matched until you replace the center and there's no point in getting additional surrounds until you have the necessary preamp/receiver to drive them and you probably won't want FXi5's when you're ready.

I agree. you need to worry about the center channel before the other stuff...

When you get ready to sell that CSi40, give me a shout. If I don't have one by then, I'll be interested...

I agree with everyone ,the best thing is to match up the speakers for the best blend for home theater sound and music. It is so worth it in soundquality.I have the same setup as you are proposing other than i use rti6's for rear surround right now and i think when you are ready for 6.1 or 7.1 i would recommend either the lsi 7 or 9 speakers for rear surround which is what i plan to do soon.Other than that the lsi series is super for ht and music,i couldnt be happier with my setup right now.

Thanks for the thoughts. It is a shame that you can't even order the LSi series through CC. Oh well.....

Polkmaniac, you are first on the list when the CSi40 goes.....will keep you posted. It might be a month or so.... I will let you know.

I was told by a CC weenie that they could order the Lsi's, perhaps he was blowin' smoke.

FrankZ,

I was at CC last night and asked a salesman on the floor, and he looked it up and could not find it. I did not ask manager......

ANY CC employees around? IF so can you get the LSi series through CC? That would be ideal, if I could get the LSi at CC then I could use the upgrade....humm.......
