Approx. a week ago, I shipped off my "venom" interconnects to a good friend of mine. Like me, he is overly critical and satisfied with very little. We both share simular tastes. Our differences are that he has money to afford gear, where as I dont. All the while, I take his words very seriously... Today I asked him to give me a few words on the cables.... and here is the verdict from one enthusiast:
Supposedly, they performed better than the Bolder M-80's ($125) in all aspects. The performance was very close to the Zu Varials ($300), although not quite as sweet as Jena Labs (1,100.00). They are just shy of capturing the timing the Audience 24's ($334) deliver. Enjoyed them over anything from he's heard from Transparent and Monster Cable, and would "Take these over the Kimber Hero", and interconnect he has great respect for (make that, a large community).
Over-all, I'd say the Venoms faired decently well. He enjoys his Audience AU-24's over the Venoms, probably by no small margin, but all things considered, Im pretty excited !
