I just bought a pair of LSI 9's on ebay. I read a couple of pages back about new finish and old finish on the LSI's and did not know that Polk changed the finish of the LSI. Could someone fill me in. Here is the link to the LSI I won and wonder what finish I have. LSI 9's ebay (http://cgi.msn.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3089335962&category=14991&sspagename=STRK%3AMEBWN%3AIT&rd=1)
I can not wait to gets those speakers fired up!
Thanks

Those look to be the older finish, but one of the better versions of the old IMO. There were some that had the beveled tops like that of the RTI70 that looked pretty bad im comparison to those pictured on the auction because the edges tended to look a bit on the rough side. Also the color of the cherry on the newer is more rich looking than the grainy of the Ebay pair that you linked. Either way, they'll sound great and you have an excellent pair of speakers.
That is one of the best looking ad's for those speakers that I've seen. Very nice pictures, plenty of them, and look to be in excellent condition. Congrats.

I don't believe it's the finish that changed, but the veneer that they use.

I think the finishwork went seamless all the way around the black....
The Cherry changed, BIG TIME.
And it went seamless, looks like the older series.

The gloss is quite a bit nicer on the new ones too.

This is good because I actually like more grain. My entertainment center is real oak so the grain will look better.
Thanks for everyone comments.
