Not to be a @$$ but is there anyway to ask this question again so someone could unerstand it better. I may have a answer for you but I'd like to be clear on the question before answering. Also, is there anyway to list the equipment you are using.

ok well on the back of the yammie RXV540 there's a vcr in which Im using with my sony 4head. just below that connection ( on the rear of the receiver) there is a VCR out with an svideo connection when would this be used as I use the monitor out for all my gear.
I was wondering how I could hook up the PS1 to the receiver without using the AUX in the front of the receiver.
IS this better

Okay, here is what I would do "provided" you are "not" using the cable input, I would just run your PS to the input labeled "D-TV/CBL. If you are using all available inputs on the back of your receiver your could always purchase a RF Modulator and run your PS to that beings you don't want to use the front input of your receiver. It's a shame you don't have a component in on the back of your television.

Yes I am using cable inputs
I know once we move into our new house in 18 days then we can start to look at a new TV (wifes orders). thanks for the help. So I guess its either buy the modulator or wait or use the front inputs
