Thought I'd re-post this for those of you that were not aware that it had been posted.

Excellent read. I am beginning to kick myself for passing up that amp for just a G. Sheesh....

Great review boys, thanks.

Frank,

Nice review indeed. Very well done. I enjoyed reading it and love this kind of stuff.

How do you think the Outlaw matches up against the Monster?

We didn't actually compare the Outlaw to the Adcom or the Monster, but I put my best pair of ears on the following day and went back through some of the same material. I'd have to say that the Oultlaw sounded better to me than the Adcom. A lot more depth and a bit more clarity. The Monster certainly had the edge in power, but the Outlaw seems to stack up fairly well, not equal, but still damn good. If the Multi-channel amp becomes available in the near future I'm going to do an A/B shoot out between the 2 and see what happens.

Yeah, my bad. Forgot about the two channel amps vs. multichannel Outlaw. Good to hear that the Outlaw held its own though.

Damn straight, Frank. Great work. Thanks for raising the bar around here with genuine good info we can all benefit from.

Actually the silver lining for me here is your call on the Outlaw. For a 7.1 separates system with a dedicated sub for the lows, it looks like the Outlaw 7x100 amp for under a grand is very hard to beat.

That Monster sure is purty, though.

Thanks all. We had a good time with both amps.
Hopefully a few of you will get together and do the same thing. It's kinda cool to have another person around to bounce ideas off of and have them point out things that you might have missed.

I would really like to hear your impression of the 200W Outlaw in comparison. As I read through that review(OUTSTANDING!) and could not help but think my 770 has never let me down and as I have read on many occasions the Outlaw is VERY NEUTRAL.

Excellent review. I have to be honest, I mostly skim reviews because they are usually boring but this one read very well. I also like the head to head comparison. I look forward to future reviews.
