If anybody's lookin' to buy an SPL meter, now's the time to pay R/S a visit. After two weeks dinkin' around on eBay and repeatedly getting outbid (at absurd prices) on a half dozen analog R/S meters, I caved and decided to pay full boat at Radio Shack. Knowing the digital units are all that's available, I had my 49 George Washingtons (plus tax) in hand through the door.

Times being what they are in retail land, they were giving $20 merchandise credits on new R/S accounts. I am now the sooo proud owner of a squeaky new, $29, 33-2055 :D , AND another credit card I will never use again!

Kinda made the wait worthwhile. Now I gotta wait again . . . 'till the downstairs neighbors leave in the a.m. . . . to run through the 85db Avia calibration. Why do I do this to myself??!!

You are not alone... I think what finally through my wife into Labor was when I showed up Monday after work with a Monster AVS2000... I just had to do it

It did a great job locking my HTS5100 to 120 which used to run at about 124... it will now float between 120.5-121.5 when load requirements increase from large dynamic passages but it settles down real nice.

It will never end!
