I guess this may be a stupid question but do I need some kind of adapter to use my Kimber D60 RCA-style digital cable with this unit? Thanks.

Not unless the Kimber in some kind of oddball. All the DTI's I've seen accept standard RCA's.

What Tour2 said... just don't change the phase switch while if in DD and you'll love it.
