Hello all,

I am been looking in different forums to try and find the answer for this but to no avail. I have a Denon 3803, Marantz mm9000(150w*5),Polk rti150's, csi5, fxi5's, and an SVS pb2+ on the way. I am curently using the Denon as a preamp for the fronts and the Marantz biamping them for a total of 300w per tower. So, can I use the Denon to add more juce to the woofers of the towers by running cable from the speaker outputs of the Denon to the lower binding posts along with the output from the Merantz amp? Or is this just crazy talk...

Thx
Will

Would you think it would be ok to connect speaker cables coming from two different amps?

Don't even THINK about it.

Cheers,

Thx,

Pretty much what I thought. Makes sence not to mix signals from two different sources. I was hoping to find a way to get more power to the speakers and not waste the power from the receiver.

You would need to get a more powerful amp. What you are thinking would fry some stuff, man. Use the outs for another set of speaks, or set them up for a different zone if you want to use them...
