I recently got the up-grade bug again and thought mabe its time to replace the H/K with the Outlaw 950 to mate with the 755 amp,my system was sounding a little bright and harsh and I thought mabe the 950 was the answer.Well then it dawned on me ,maybe its that cheap low end ,sony dvd/cd player.Well that was definitley a weak link, I talked the wife into the denon 2200,I brought it home set it up, and was blown away with the audio, then purchaced a sacd,I had a smile ear too ear, and the video is awseome even on my older panasonic tv.Well after I had the 2200 for about a week, The power button began to stick and got sloppy,so I returned it ,(wife not present)and bingo now I own the 2900, the up- grade from the 2200 is well worth the extra coin for the audio and is built more tank-like.(Wife still un-aware of the 2200-2900 trade up):D :D :D

how do you like your 755 amp. I am about to purchase the 770 w/950. Do you think that it is enough power to push my rti12's?

marcpam,
I,ve owned the 755 for over a year with no problems and really appreciate the x-tra power. You should have no problrm pushing the rti 12's,I know the 755 will handle 200 wpc @ 8 oms and a 4 om load @300 wpc so there should be enough to make your ears bleed,I think the only difference between the 755 and 770 is one is 5 channel and the other is 7.If you have any doubts they're customer service is excellent ,and you can't go wrong with a 30 day trial.

marcpam,

I also own a 755 and could not be more pleased. It drives the LSi15's just fine, in fact really well. so.....They should be able to push the RTi12's just fine.

Bright harsh sounds are almost allways source or preamp related in my experience. Cool switch on the wife. :D
