Is there a decent cable to run from the outside hookup (it's actually in my garage) to my TV? It's at least 50', so I don't want to spend a fortune. Right now I just have the crappy RJ6 from Homey D's (the only thing they carry), but there has to be something better than that.
I have a $75 set of cables running from my Cable box to my set, but only $15 worth from cable company (it just dosen't seem to make much sense).
P.S. I have a HD cable box if that matters.

Pablo, if what you're saying is that you bought a 50' RG-6 type coaxial cable for about $15 from Home Depot, then that makes perfect sense; you should consider whether spending $75 on the cables from the box to the TV made sense. You haven't described any problem that you're experiencing, but unless the cable or the connectors were damaged by something it's highly unlikely that it has anything to do with it.

You could try a better cable like Belden or (please forgive me) Monster. You can do a google and find it. I don't know that it would improve any cable signal, though. You're more or less stuck w/ what u get...

The only cable that could be better for the run over regular rg6 would be rg6 quad shield. You can buy it from anyone you like.Liberity and Beldon make fine equal quality products.

I install satellite systems as a side job Pablo and I may have 50'+/- of Monster Coax laying around somewhere. I generally buy it in a 500' roll. Haven't ordered any lately so let me look around the house. If I do have 50'+/- I'll PM you.

John K, I'm not having any problems, just want to try and make my picture as good as possible.
Grimster74, let me know if you have that cable. Thanks.
I'll do a search for the quad shielded stuff. I'm really just trying to get the best picture I can. I don't have any problems, and the picture is pretty good, but when I was re-wiring my bedroom I started think "I have all this money on stuff for the inside of the house but nothing for the outside".
Anyone with any types of experinces on improving a cable signal would be apprecieted.

In all honesty, I don't think it will make any difference. The problem, IMO, is the source material. We had cable for years and were satisfied with it although it was never anything to call home about. The best upgrade we did was going to satellite, even from digital cable.
Also, if you consider how many miles of plain-Jane commercial grade RG-59 cable there is from the distribution point to your home, you might find that 50' of quality RG-6U won't make a difference. I tried the same thing years ago and never saw a difference from one cable to another (except for the one that was defective).
Not meaning to rain on your parade, but if there is no discernable difference I won't be surprised.
