if i put an amp that can handle 1500 watts on my 2 mm120s but run them both at 500 would it sound better than running them both at 500 on a 1000 watt amp?
Amplifier power is only part of the equation. Depending on your listening habits and type of music, this will give you an idea of how much power you will need. The enclosure, location of the enclosure inside of the vehicle. box building material, crossover frequency and the rate of the crossover's slope all effect the end result. If you install these woofers in a sealed enclosure, then bridge the amp to both woofers. Just make sure that your amplifier is 2 Ohm mono stable before doing so. If you build our recommended bandpass enclosure, then you will not require as much power due to the "gain" incorporated into this design. The recommended crossover frequency for these woofers is 80 Hertz and allow 40 hours of playing music at a reasonable level to let the woofer's suspension "break in" or loosen up. If you have any questions, give us a all at 800-377-7655 between the hours of

Thanks,
Kim
