Hey people just looking on some advice on buying speakers in the $500-600 range (cdn). So far I've been checking out the polk rti6's as well as some of psb's speakers. Haven't listened to any current model psb's but from what I've heard they're good. Any ideas on what to buy or maybe save to get a better model? BTW I will be listening to music about 90% of the time and occasionally pushing them hard (when no ones home :D ).

Jumpers as in binding posts? So far I'm still a beginner when it comes to speakers so sorry about all the little noob questions lol. Also, what will this swap cost me and how easily is it done?

Check out some NHT SB-3's. You might find there isn't a need for a sub, they are quite punchy and hit 39Hz with no problem. $600.00 at Audio Advisor

F1Nut thanks for the suggestion on the sb3's i'll have to go to one of the dealers and demo them. Although the price is $600 us my budget is $500 to 600 cnd for now. Althought if its worth it to get those over a different model like the rti6's I think I can hold off and get a pair of SB3's after a few more days of work.

Fry's has Lsi7's for 199 US right now. I don't think there are any Fry's in Canada, but if shipping isn't terrible I would pick em up and send them to you. Just a thought.

I just saw that you are in BC, so shipping may not be so bad. For 200 it may even be worth a trip.:)

Yeah lsi7's would be sweet for 200 but are they open box or just clearing out old stock? I tried to find them but I'm not sure if I have the right Frys (http://shop4.outpost.com/template/index/) cause I didn't find them there. But the lsi7's are 4ohms which is kinda crappy since my receiver is rated to only handle 6-8. I think for 200 I'll have to see if I can get my dad to drive me to a frys (he'll probably laugh at me but its worth a shot). I might just have to take you up on your offer to ship them for me... I'll let you know what I decide. Thanks!

You got the right Fry's, most of the time their online store doesn't reflect the brick and mortar shops at all. They are refurbs, but still carry Polk' warranty.

Don't you know, that is what this obsession is all about. Never being satisfied (for more than 3 weeks anyway). Now you can look for an amp.:p
Anyway, I'd be happy to do it, let me know.
