upgrade

im looking for some general ideas to upgrade my stereo, nothing to extravigant, or expensive. it currently includes:
JVC hu, soon to be replaced by Premier DEH-960MP
6.5 dx components
6x9 ex3
Power acoustik lt980/2 for DX124 sub
not sure on the model of my amp for my speakers, but it does 40x4, soon to bi amp my components, as soon as i get the new hu, because i will be rewiring most of it

thats pretty good, the next thing up is replacing the speakers with better ones

well what speakers would you suggest, and let me remind you, im 18, i make $6.25 an hour at a go cart track, roughly40 hours a week until school gets out, then maybe more. i could get some mb quart reference series i think 6.5 components for like $180, but other thoughts are good

which go for what roughly? figure that if you can find them for lets say $250 on sounddomain or whatever, i can probably get them for $200 or less...

ok, so sound domain has them for $300, i could probably get them for $200, i got my dx components for $100. any other thoughts though, other upgrade options besides speakers also

from what i can see, thats your best option. you could upgrade the sub, or add sirius/xm or start multimedia - video screens etc. or get really crazy and install an xbox or something :p

you can get mm6s off ebay new in box for $180...but no polk warranty

well in another post i said i was looking to put a screen in my glove box, on a 15" swivel arm, so it can be hidden if i want, with a ps2 under the seat, that was my newest idea. :)
