LSI25's are here.

Ok,
so I stop by the store today to drop off a unused Plasma bracket,and low and behold,there they where......sitting in the high end room waiting for some action.Hell fresh out of there boxes and not even hooked up yeat.....

The lsi25's are huge.they are so deep and beautiful I was feeling very warm and fuzzy hooking them up.B7K ref200.2 and a Ref50 preamp was there for the using.

I left them play so when I go back tomarrow to give them a good run,they should be somewhat broken in.they will play all night tonight and starting at 9:30am and untill I get there after we are done with our day.

I think the new side panels and bottom platforms are nice.I dig the gloss black finish there.So much better then the plain black plastic look.The side panels actually look good with the ebony now.I like it better then before.Maybe as I was just digging the 25's it shadowed by judgement.

Now I'm just waiting for the LSIW to hit the floor.I can't wait to play with that.

What's the scoop on the 25s man? I read somewhere else that you like 'em.

I don't remember too many reviews on the 25s. Still wondering why not keep the 15s cross them over in the AVR and get a sub (your REL or Velo or whatever). This is what I'm doing with the SVS and 15s. Frees up power for the 307 and bass is not an issue with the great mids and highs of the LSi.

I don't know. Maybe you don't like using a sub for two channel (er I mean three channel listening);)

The Idea has crossed my mind.But....
The Lsi25's go deeper all by themselves.With a musical built in sub,I feel a deeper enjoyment of 2 channel listening could be in order.Adding a sub for theater is coming once the system moves to the basement.

With us as a company picking up polk,the upgrade bug is killing me.the Lsi25's I have running in our ultimate theater room and I'm waiting on break in.Once they are,I'm going to give them a serious listen.When my partner heard them at another store,he feels they are a better sounding speaker then the 15's.Clearer in the mid range and deeper down low.I gotta figure this out for myself.If they truely outshine the 15's,then the 25's are mine.

I have to admit, I like the new look to the LSi myself. Good reason to upgrade and the better bass / midrange with the 25s is just sugar on top.

I can't wait to hear your update. I'm interested in hearing how they sound with the 80hz x-over compared to the 150hz on the LSi15.

yeah man the base is now gloss black and the side panels look better then ever.I agree that alone is wanting me to upgrade.

Damn sometimes I hate this hobbie.Just wants to keep me broke...
