Well...
kinda depends ---
How much AMP do you have? How loud do you play it?
Does your receiver have problems running them?
If it does, small -- if you have no problems -- LARGE, most definetely.
You paid for the subbage, use it!

I am using the Outlaw 770 which is 200 watts x 7 at 8 ohm. I am also running the Outlaw 950 preamp. I will tend to play them pretty loud, but what is loud for me may not be for you, so it is hard to tell. I don't crank the hell out of them if that is what you mean.
I am using the lfe for my sub and i have the volume knob set at halfway. Is this ok. I would like to have a little more bass. Do I make adjustments through the preamp or the volume knob

Large will be just fine, dont worry
crank away and enjoy the subbage!
If you want more bass, I recomend buying a seperate 2 channel amp and bi-amping, putting about another 200 watts on the RTi12 subs....

what would you recommend on the sub. I am using the psw505. I will enjoy the setup for a while until i decide to add another 200 watts to the rti12s.

For the sub?
Well -- best way is to run some test tones (somewhere on here, someone may provide the link) -- calibrate till everything is even out -- mess with phase, etc....

Large. That's enough power if you are sending the LFE channel to the sub. Save your $$ on amps and buy another 505 or upgrade to a more powerful sub if you need more impact for HT applications.
