How can you figure out which amp would work for a sub, I don’t get it so I’ve gotten a bunch of different amps that id think about going with but I’m not sure if they’d work for the sub I’m looking at which happens to be a Polk Momo MM2124. Here are some links of amps I’m interested in and the Sub I’m going with.

Forget all the Legacy and Blitz crap. Do yourself a favor and get a good quality amp.

Try this MTX Thunder342 (http://www.crutchfield.com/S-dElqIo9hm0t/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?s=0&c=3&g=110&I=236T342&o=m&a=0&cc=01&avf=N&search=) which is rated for 340x1 but knowing MTX rep for severly underrating their amps, this thing probably puts out 375 or more which would be just right for your sub. Polk subs dont seem to respond well to overpowering. This MTX is indestructible and at $250 is a great deal.

yeah, i figured that...lol
poor Polk...they lost money off of me...
i got mine from crutchfield for $560 for the both of them
divide that by 6 and its $93 a sub
and no telling how much crutchfield marks up the speaker
plus i got 2 sets of Polk computer speakers from crutchfield with the subs...it was a deal at the time
how come Polk doesnt sell computer speakers?
i know they make them...
im looking at some 1x4s right now that my bro got with his HP

I dont know. I was out Saturday looking at some computer speakers over at Best Buy and Klipsch had some great ones for $150 and a set of Bose for $250 that were good too. I went over to Circuit City knowing they carry Polk thinking they might have a set but they didnt.

I know Polk makes them or at least did cause my uncle bought a HP computer a few years ago and it had Polk speakers with it.

Ive got the stock Sony speakers with my Vaio and they are just awesome! They are some of the most deatiled speakers Ive ever heard! The amp sucks so they are underpowered but they still kick ass.

With all the excellent stuff Sony makes, why cant they make car audio gear with the same quality?

i dunno about sony man...lol...they used to be pretty damn good, at least for the money...then came Xplod...
ive never seen Polk computer speakers...my polk computer speakers are ok i guess...i mean...they play music...lol, but thats all one can expect from a 2x4" speaker...and it is a 2x4, not a 1x4

Virtually everything I own that is electronic is Sony except for my truck stereo and cell phone. My entire home theater is Sony and its great. I think someday they will get tired of being poo-pooed in the car audio world and come out swinging!

or they'll keep playing off their name to young uneducated people and make money without having to bother with quality

btw, a quick glance around my living room reveals more sony than i thought - TiVo, DirecTV tuner, VCR, DVD, TV... then there's Rotel for all sound equipment, B+W for L, R, and Center channels, Definitive (??) for LFE, and (gasp!) Bose surrounds.
