View Full Version : MM6 vs. db6750 vs. EX3560
I was contemplating upgrading my 3560 set but wanted to get some input before doing so. I am running 100 watts RMS and and have a sub so my components don't have to pull low end duty. Given that set up, which of these three components will have the best mid range sound? I am concerned that upgrading to the MM6 would improve my low end (which I don't need) at the expense of mid range SQ. Thanks for any input you may have.

Even though the MM6's do have a good midbass kick, they have excellent SQ throughout their response range. They'd be a nice improvement over your 3560's.

The MM6 will do everything better. It will play low end better than what you have now but still not like a sub and overall sound quality is much better on the MM6. These things are very accurate and have razor sharp detail.
The closest thing Ive heard with as much detail and a comparable price is the Diamond Audio M661 6" components which costs $360. These are AWESOME speakers and have a great price tag as well. My only tiny little complaint was that they are a smidge glassy on heavy guitar but still an excellent speaker. Probably the MM6's best competition in the under $400 category.
Diamond Audio's Hex series are even better speakers and in my opinion can spank the mighty MM6 but then they also cost $650 so its not a fair comparo. Besides the Hex dont sound $350 better either.

i just got the strangest mental image of an old lady beating on a speaker with her cane... wow, i must be more exhausted than i thought!
