Hello,
I have just purchased this subwoofer as to combine with 2 front R30, 2 rear R15 and a central Csi25.

Have been reading that this sub has an amplifier problem. Mine is only about a week old, is there any way of finding out when it was manufactured and whether or not it might me amongst a batch of defective subs?.

On the rear there is a lable with "PSW202 44030", anyway to tell? Has this amplifier "failure in the integrated circuit that makes up the amplifier's output stage" been fixed?

This is important to know as I am still testing the sub for a few days and still have the chance to return it and get the PSW303, does this other sub have any quality issues?

Also spoke to polk technical service here in spain and they told me that there are no problems with this sub what so ever and that they have never had any problems with it (the guy was actually quite upset about my comment too).

So is there a quality problem with this sub or is this just a very small amount of units?

I don't think the amps are defective per se, but some have been know to habe problems after awhile ...

Any other ideas... I mean I have seen lots of posts about people unhappy with their PSW 202... is the replacement amp different? do they fail again after they are repaired?

Anyone know if the PSW303 has a similar problem or is it safe to buy?

I dont ever recall a post about a PSW303 failing...

Or the PSW202 failing after being repaired.
