We have them here in AZ. I have seem many even larger than that. They are very tough too - they laugh at fly swatters. Had this one buddy that would munch them down with a beer for $20 bucks.

found out it's called a cecropia moth. wingspan is 6". I've never seen one before, but apparently they're pretty common in the northeast. Attracted to bright lights (guess that explains why it was right next to my porch light), and the adults don't actually have any mouths, so they only live 2 weeks.

Man, you hava a T-Maxx? Those things are awesome!! I got one for Christmas 2 years ago. A lot of fun. I don't really run it much anymore, but sure is a thrill when it runs right.

If you're talking about the little Traxxas Stampede w/ the white body, then that's a buddy of mine from work. He has that, and now an 1/8th scale buggy. They are a bunch of fun to play with. My T-Maxx is for sale, though. Need to support some of my more expensive toys (ie- truck payment).
