Best Receiver for RTI-12 's / Sony's 70Khz speakers??

Hey can anyone give me some recommendations on some receivers that would go well with rti-12 's??? A receiver that can use the full potential of the speakers or even more? I’m thinking about spending around $1000.

Also are these speakers any good?? Or is my JBL Monitors or Polk better than these already?? Can any tell if these speakers really goes up to the 70 kHz range??? I am thinking about getting them for the highs since I’ve got the mids and lows covered already. Or can someone tell me of better speakers for the highs???

The Polk's and Jbl's are prefectly suitable for your application. I think the RTi12's will offer even better performance than the JBL's.

Don't bother with the Sony's. You can't even hear that high to establish any base for purchasing that speaker. It's mediocre sounding at best, just FYI.

I would stay away from the Sony home theater in a box speakers. We can't come close to hearing a 70khz tone, so I'm gonna go out on a limb and add that a 70khz tone won't add to my listening enjoyment.

The RTi12's need a lot of juice. You might want to think about getting a $5-600 receiver and a $4-500 amp, which stays in your budget, then you can bi-amp.

dont bother with the sony.. my friend has that. even my old klipsch promedia computer speakers sounded better.
