It's much worse than just the name. Apparently there is a character called "Goldmember" which Mike Myers plays. This would mean that they would have to refilm or possibly rewrite the movie at places.

They have a problem with "Goldmember", but they let the title to Austin Powers 2 "The Spy Who Shagged Me" go on.

Let's see...Goldmember is too close to Goldfinger, but The Spy Who Shagged Me isn't anywhere near The Spy Who Loved Me.

More lawyers getting rich! Hmmmm...what kind of frivilous lawsuits can we come up with today!
