Hello all

I'm new to the forum and pretty much a novice in the audio game. (as compared to some of the large craniumed commentaries that I've read) I've been a polk owner for about 3 years and I just recently became a home owner. That means that I am about to drop some cash to finish out my HT. I currently have a Sony STR-DE 1075 reciever and 2 RT1000i's. I lived in an apartment before so I decided that the room was just too small to set up surround.

Now, in my new house I have a 24x17 great room (with a vaulted ceiling) that is just screaming for me to complete my system. I stream a lot of digital music over a wireless network and I will probably watch a fair amount of movies as well. I need a system that's capable of handling both and well balanced. Right now I'm trying to decide between the FXi3's and FXi5's. I'm pretty much set on getting a CSi5 center. As far as a sub is concerned I don't know. I read over the several posts that sing the praises of SVS and HSU. HSU seems to be more my speed price wise as well as it seems to be more music friendly. I'm interested in any and all advice!! Thanks.

I think you are basically done with your choices. No need to expound, and add rhetoric.

Go FXi5, CSi5 and HSU or SVS...simply my suggestion.

Good luck :)

Tone69,

Welcome aboard!

I'm in the same boat with receivers. I feel like I suffer w/o PLII. I'm lookin' at a Harman Kardon AVR 630 right now.

BTW, if you go to the Flea Market and post a WTB for FXi5's, someone might have something for ya.

Good luck!

The 50's in the flea market will work also.

Start with upgrading your receiver. Get the best quality receiver your budget can withstand. Check out Onkyo for the wireless digital streaming capability.
