Need help with Receiver & Sub for my new Polks

I am in the process of setting my HT. I am using Panasonic L500U LCD projector, projecting a 106" diagonal image using the Bravo D2 DVD Player (awesome picture!).

My HT is a 22'x25' area in a 40'x25' open basement. The entire base is finished (carpeting, drywall etc.). I just bought the following set of speakers:

2 RTi8 front speakers
2 RTi6 rear surround
1 CSi5 center channel

I am looking to add 2 more speakers later on to complete the 7.1 setup. Right now, I need to buy a SUBWOOFER and a nice RECEIVER to get the best out of these awesome speakers. My budget for sub is up to $600 and for receiver up to $800.

Any recommendations? Your input is greatly appreciated. Thanks is advance.

These are internet direct, but they give you the best bang for the buck.

For the receiver, my favourite is Harman Kardon but check out the offerings from Marantz, Onkyo, Pioneer, Denon, Yamaha etc. There are so many good choices for $800.

For a 7.1 receiver, you can find the Harman Kardon AVR7200 for around $800. Its rated at 100W per channel. It has preamp outs as well in case you want to add in your own amps at a later time. Or there is the Harman Kardon AVR330. Its rated at 55W per channel. 7.1 with preamp outs again. 55W should be sufficient to drive your speakers. Onkyo TXNR801 can be had for $800. You get the idea. There are many to pick from. Any other criteria you are looking for to narrow down the list?

For $600 you can get one of the cheaper SVS subwoofers. Check them out at www.svsubwoofers.com. Many folks here are happy with them. Maybe someone else can chime in and say if you need more for a room that size.
