Anyone know a good article or document to walk me through making my own projector screen?
I'd like to do about 120 inches and know I can save a lot of money by doing it myself...
I know Ron made his, but i haven't seen him around here much lately...
Thanks

I know a lot of people use black out cloth from fabric stores but that can only make around a 90" screen. There is a guy on ebay somewhere that sells fabric for larger screens. It's still much cheaper than buying a screen. I believe Ron painted his screen a grayish color. I'd check over AVS or HTF DIY section for the best info.

Go to www.avsforum.com
Then at the top goto Forums, AVS Forum
Next go to where you see the projector forums and there will be a Screens forum. Give yourself a few hours!

I built my most recent 85" from 1/4" pressboard and used 2x2's for the framework. I painted it with a custom mix gray from Lowe's.
I have a friend who made a 100" screen from 1/4 art board I think thats what its called, & painted screen goo over the board. There is different screen goos for different types of projectors, need to purchase the right one. Heres a link http://www.videocapturecard.com/screengoo.html
Got to watch a movie at his home & I was impressed by the dyi screen & the screen goo. He uses a panasonic dlp projector & the picture was very good. black level was decent & off angle viewing was also good.
