Hey guys, Just got my replacement tweeter for my RT2000P. However, it doesn't seem to be the tri-laminated type. It's more like a grayish brown color, not shiny like the old one. Any info on this would be appreciated.

That could be from the RTxxx"i" series. An improved tri lam. A little different but similar sound signature according to Polk. You should contact them because it's very important to have identical tweets.

There should be a number, or nomenclature on the magnet structure, on a sticker....what is that number?

My first thought was that they sent me a silk tweeter. I checked the silk tweeters in my rt35. They are black in color. Maybe some of you gurus can help me out here. This is on the side
RD6515-2/5 then the date 2004-3-11. I may have to call polk on this one. BTW, the packing list says its a SL6511

Called Ken at Polk. Got everything straightened out:) Seems that the company that made the tri-lam tweets isn't making them anymore. I guess there's no more new tri-lams at Polk Audio.:( So I went and took the tri-lam tweeter out of my cs400i, installed it into my rt2000. I then installed the new tweeter in the cs400i. That way, when my 2000's are topless, the nipples look the same. Ken informed me that there should be no problem with that setup.:D

Glad to hear it's all straightened out. Do you notice a difference in the highs when doing multichannel?

Organ, It's really hard to tell if there is any diff. in the front soundstage with multi-channel music. It seems to be blending in just fine. Just having a good working tweeter in the left front makes a big difference. Since buying all new rotel gear, everything sounds fantastic. :D

Cool. I had a CSi40 with a apair of RT800i and I couldn't tell the tweets were different. They blended in nicely.
