Looks like pics only at this time. Perhaps Paul can post the press release when it is ready.

The 7400's look like DefTech speakers. Sure hope they sound better than they look.
Sorry Polk, not to impressed at first glance.

If it's watercooled it's probably a chip that has been over clocked to 3600+ speeds.

I think they look great, for the market they are after. I like the fact you now have options for 'larger' mains, but can still maintain the micro system size and convenience.
Nice!
Cheers,

I'm in the boat with RuSs. Every HTIB system I have seen come out of Polk Audio has met great reviews aside from those anal reviewers who can't see to see a HTIB system for what it is.
I was surprised to see the larger mains in the middle rung system but quite pleased at teh same time! I have yet to see an HTIB worth anything that has such speakers in its configuration. Polk Audio is honestly setting a bar higher in this market and I'm glad to see it. Maybe beefy systems like these for a good price will get more people into throwing out thier BOSE systems and going for real home theater quality.
Pfft! Wishful thinking.

Those systems look pretty spiffy. I think they should as well as anything Polk has put out in the HTIB segment.

Best looking HTiB I have seen. Hope its the best sounding one too. I agree, I like the option of a floor stander. Hopefully Polk can make some money with this they are decent as not to tarnish the good Polk name. They better not be nicer than my Rs though!

The more I think about it, this:

is an HTIB that I would buy. I'm not talking about considering a purchase or weighing it against other HTIBs and like products. I'm talking about going to the nearest Circuit City and plunking down the cash for one. If only I had the cash to do so!
Seriously though, they are snazzy looking! The only thing I'd recommend doing is making a set that is like 7.1 or 6.1 or at least having open stock components to be able to make something more than 5.1 HT.

Hell, even this one looks to have some good qualities to it!

No wonder Fry's blow out RM7200 at $599 (MSRP $1299) in today's ad.....something better is in the horizon

Kinda grows on you after you look at them a few times. I bet you can see the quality when looking at them in person that the pics do not show. I can't wait to see a pair in person. Certainly are different.

Thank to Paul, I have started to like Silver more and more, so...very appealing
And - those things don't look anything like Definitives, FWIW...

Not quite sure how they perform for music
But I apologize, you are right!

Thanks for posting the link. I just purchased a Ski Chalet and am looking to put in a sub/sat system (space reasons). I was unhappy as it looked like Polk was getting out of the Sub/Sat business. I want to buy Polks again because of some great customer service I received from Polk on my Rt1000i's. I guess I will wait to see/hear the new line.
