Its nothing high tech, But today while placeing my Dynaco on the shelf where it will be, I noticed my Monster speaker wire has banana's and they are soldered on, The amp has those screws like all old gear has for speaker wire..
heres my project for the day, took me about 30-45 minutes total time... I had 2 old speaker terminal cups from some old speakers and the monster pins fit right in the spring clips.. done... I took some heavy 12 or 14 awg i think wire, used my drill to twist it up in double runs... soldered spades on one end and the other to the terminal cups.. shrink wrapped everything, hot glued the terminal cup end also to make sure it would never touch each other... done deal.. looks pretty good and the short run is double run and plenty plenty thick.... Heres a pic or 2

That's nifty and all, but why not install some nice new Cardas binding posts?

well because i want to use it now (well when i get the tubes) and dont want to tear it apart until ive run it, confirm everything works then do some upgrades.. Oh i plan to change the speaker terminals and the RCA inputs... This is a hold over till then, not to mention after the amp and tubes im kinda broke,,:)

is it ok for the interconnects to touch, boy they are close together.. that's just ground right? I have AR rca's and the gold rca's touch each other when in the amp.....

The first mod I did was replace the rca's. My Kimber Hero's have WBT ends and they wouldn't fit at all. I used the mono switch hole for one of the ins.

Kinda crazy the RCA's are in the front and the rest of the stuff is in the back....

It IS crazy but you have to give it credit for being a kit and still kicking around for so long. I just use 1m interconnects and it reaches no problem. ;)

Looks great. I installed a pair of cheap rat shack binding post. I'm going to get some good quality, gold plated posts.
It's ok for the rca's to touch. Before upgrading them, my XLO were touching
The inputs are connected on the front to keep the signal path to the driver board as short as possible.
