I was just reading the post of the guys with the LSi15 and how he is powering it with a dj-amp. My orginal idea was to use my dvd player with a DD/DTS decoder built in and connect it to 3 stero amps. I did have a passive volume control between the dvd player and amp, so I can control the master volume. My only worry was that these DJ amps will not sound good. Here is the link to spec sheet. http://209.125.209.59/PDF/PT24-28.pdf To get 3 amps it will proably me cost more than to pick up a digital amplifier reciever, which I had hoped to do. The reciever route I gain convinece, and dts-es decoding (which no dvd player can do so far)

If I remember right, Pyle is known to have a higher noise floor than most other brands of pro amps. I would go for all the decoding and switching options a reasonable receiver offers for a home HT. Just get a model that has preamp outputs for all channels so you can always add great amps when you can afford it. Think upgrades.

Check out this MASSIVE thread I started on AVSForum that's getting a lot of attention. Get a good pro amp and don't look back. So far the Crown XLS-402A is making me cry :D

I hate to burst your bubble, but stepping up to just about any seperate amp from a receiver will put a smile on most folks face.

Nothin wrong with using pro audio amps at home- heres my personal experiences....

alot of the times the amp itself is noisy (not in the signal, but the actual amp). I have a Crown Macro-Tech 5000vz amp (5000 watts continuous bridged at 4 ohms) and the transformer is considerably noisy.

Also I have had problems with ground loops sometimes with the unbalanced connectors.

But it is hard to beat the value and power of a pro audio amp.

Sounds good, I guess when later in August I pick up new speakers, ill go to some dj shop, pick up a pair of dj-amps, and compare them to my reciever. Ill see which suits me better. My only concern in I knwo with using amp, i can only get DD, DTS. I dont have enough money to buy amps and pre-amp. Thats why I was going to use the DD-DTS decoder in dvd player. But it sounds like going this route could be more problems. I guess ill stick to reciever with pre-amp out, and hopefully upgrade later. But everytime its time for upgrade i upgrade speakers and reciever, never just one.

I ran 2 Soundcraftsmen PM-840's for 15 years and loved them. They were the class "H" amplifier design and ran barely warm to the touch. Fantastic amps.

so heres my question, the digital amp reciever I was going to get was going to cost me between 315-350 (depening on what model/brand) So If I were to buy 3 stero amps for around the same price (lets say 130 each) is it worth it, sound like most people say anything that pushes out a lot of power will be good.

Faheem , i don't think you will get much for $130..The Crowns' i use are around $270 shipped on ebay.Occassionally you may find them even cheaper.as far as the bang for the buck,It's a no brainer!!!! Never will use anything else but pro amps!! And yes, I believe I was the one who turned Mazeroth on to them!!
