When I bought the Butterfly Effect a couple of weeks ago it contained a flyer for Blade: Trinity.

Don't know about any of you guys, but I am quite excited for this one. As cheesy as the movies were I really like them a lot.

More info here (http://www.themoviebox.net/movies/2004/0-9ABC/Blade_Trinity/trailer-page.html)

Oh...and Jessica Biel is in it...and I know some of you LOVE her! ;)

The sound on all the Blade movies has been great I guess that's why i'm excited for this next movie.

Oh...and a hilarious line from Blade 1 "Some Motherfu&@ers always tryin' to ice skate up hill."

:D

Now this will be a great movie. Why? Casting.

Jessica Biel - I bet my life savings she will be good in a vampire movie

Kate Beckinsale - Horrible in vampire movie

Looks to be another winner.

It said summer 2004 release, its Dec 2004 is the actual date. Miss Biel is playing Kris daughter, & yes she would make this old man beg for HOT buttermilk!!!

First one was great, second was mediocre at best. Hopefully this equals that of the first, which from the trailer, it looks possible.

Well, I will wake this thread up from the dead first by saying "this blade was okay at best." I watched the theatrical version and the sound quality was not good to me because of all of the hesitations between scenes. This was horrible! My friend watched the extended version, and said there was no problem with SQ on it. I will watch the extended version, and see what happens. By far this was the worst of the three. IMO

I would have to say this was easily the worst of the three titles. Had a weak story line, the acting was second rate at best, and I found many of the charactors to be simply annoying.

I am looking forward to hitting the theaters in the near future for Hitchhikers Guide, Kingdom of Heaven and Star Wars, and I will going into all three with my fingers crossed, hoping they live up to my expectations.

What movies are you looking forward to this summer?

The Kingdom of Heaven is at the top of my list along with Star Wars Episode III. I am not big on going to the movie theater. I have been one to tough it out and wait for the dvd release. These theaters SUCK! Little kids walking around, talking, and those damn cell phones ringing during a low volume scene! It blows!!!!

...........I'm okay now. I just hate theaters.

Those two films are definetly at the top of my list. Oh yeah, I almost forgot about The Fantastic Four.:D

Should make a new thread for this but as far as actually going out to a theater...

1. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
2. Corpse Bride

...the only 2 worth going to a theater for the rest can wait for dvd.

As for Trinity, it was better then the 2nd but not near as good as the first.

Blade 3 was not quite what I had hoped for . There just was not the same "feel" to it as in one or two .
Not sure what was wrong with it , but some of the acting was out-of-place for this type of movie and the story line could have been presented better .
I only rented it , and I'll think I'll keep it at that . Shame too , cause I enjoyed the first two quite abit .
The ending in 3 seems to leave room for a 4th release ..... hope to see a Blade 4 with the same intensity as the first release .

OH ......and Biel ..... YUM !!! :p

I thought Underworld kicked A$$ and so did Kate B. She is sexy in both movies. Van Helsing sucked, but Kate did not. (He, He, He.);)

Just finished the extended version of Blade Trinity. I enjoyed this a whole lot better than the theatrical version. It sounded better from chapter to chapter, not a lot of skips. It still is not as good as the first two.

Thanks for the pacs Mac. I will sleep good tonight.:D

It was ok, certainly entertaining. *SPOILER ALERT*

Thank goodness Whistler is dead because Kris Kristofferson should have been removed from movies 10 years ago.

I liked him. He's not one of my favorites but he was good as Whistler. He playes a grumpy old bastard pretty well.

Dear god, what did I just waste my money on? The only two people that could act in that entire movie were Ryan Reynolds and Wesley Snipes. Which Snipes really doesn't have to act much seeing that character really wouldn't be hard to act... and Reynolds basically played a fighting version of Van Wilder... but still, not bad for those two. The rest. YAWN! Sure Biel is a yummy speciman but I wasn't impressed with her acting. AND WHO THE F*** PUT PARKER POSEY AS SOME BAD ASS LEADER CHICK??? OMFG!!! She couldn't act her way out of a wet paper bag. Triple H? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! "Hey, if the Rock can do it... why can't i?" CUZ YOU CAN'T ACT MORON! Go back to your protein shake and pop another pill. Natasha Lyonne... wow, you successfully can't even act blind. Wouldn't that be much easier? Just walk around acting like you can't see! Hell, close your damn eyes for the whole movie, make that part real. I wasn't even convinced at that. And who chose that moron to be Dracula? Dude was HORRIBLE! I honestly think you could put Chevy Chase in there and get a more believable character.

Last but not least, WHO THE HELL WROTE THIS THING? Worst story line ever. "Hey, we really should finish that series and call it a Trilogy. We could make Dracula the new bad guy... no seriously." Wow, I think it was put together with an Etch-o-sketch. It had no character play, no plot that really went anywhere, piss poor acting, and brutally bad... well, EVERYTHING! The only two things that I can say good about the movie was 1. I laughed at Reynolds more than I thought and 2. the movie is now over so I don't have to watch that again. If I wasn't a fricken dork who collected trilogies and what-not, I'd give this away as a karma. DTS-ES... great sound but still didn't help.

I guess I should let everyone know, I'm passionate about my movies.

MacLeod

I pretty much felt the same way.

It started out with great promise. You think "oh man the bad guy in this one is going to be one hell of a badass." But you hardly see any of him. Hell he walks around like he's lost in most of this.

This couldve been a great one. I loved the first 2 but this one just stunk to high heaven.

And EFF the MTV slacker generation characters that had to be put in here as well. If Blade is going to have companions they need to be badasses like in the second one.

I appear to be one of the few who actually enjoyed this movie. As a Blade fan in general, I thought Ryan Reynolds added some much needed humor in my opinion. He did what he was supposed to do, make us laugh. I thought there was enough action to keep you interested. Storyline aside, I found this movie to be demo-material worthy. Though 90% of the movie was quite dark, it did have tremendous detail. And the sound; for those lucky enough to take advantage of the DTS-ES soundtrack; I challenge anyone to name me a movie that not only utilized your surrounds to this extent, but overall displayed the potential of your HT.

I don't see why or how Blade needed humor. It was not intended to be a comedy, it's an action movie about a vampire hybrid who slays vampires. That alone can be hilarious (well, maybe in my sick and twisted mind who laughs hysterically anytime something demented happens). Oh well, needed to complete the trilogy.
