build them, and they will come.

How about a 55Lsi, using the Lsi9 mid/woofers and the Rti tweeter? Huh? C'mon....

You can't cross-breed like that. Spydie is a good example of why not to.....

The LSi 4 ohm and the RTi 8 wouldn't be a great match, and if they did what you're talking, about, basically you'd have a weakened LSi9.

If anything, while staying in the current RTi line, you'd have the top of an RTi12 giving you an RTi version of the LSi9. I'd have to insist that they use larger drivers though than the 5 1/4 jobs they've got in there....

I dont see why they shouldnt...

They got the Monitor 40
and the LSi9

They should get like a RTi66 or w/e

If you take away the ring radiator tweeter, you are taking away, pretty much, the essence of the LSi. That was the big selling point back when the came out was that it was pretty much the only affordable speaker to use such a high tone tweeter.

Onix speakers from av123 use the same tweeter right? Anybody checked those out at all?

The guy who sits in my cubicle pack with me has bought an entire home theater from them. He is waiting for the front mains to come in and the amplifier. I will certainly post a thropugh review when I get one!

I'm guessing that the reason the 55i sounds so much better (imo) than the 800i is because the box is wider and deeper. The driver compliment is the exact same. Or could it be something to do with a difference in crossover? Whatever the reason, the 55i provides a satisfying musical experience, whereas I can't say that about the 800i or 35i. Indeed, a reintroduction of a 55i type of speaker to the RT line would be great.
