Knockin' back JB/Sprites and just HAD to blast Led Zeppelin II.

What a fuc$ing CLASSIC.....a must have in any self-respecting rock fan's collection.

Moby Dick - one of THE BEST drum solos ever recorded. Living Loving Maid - probably the most recognizable rock guitar riff in history. Ramble On - soaring bass lines and a majorly cool reference to LOTR. Whole Lotta Love - "Shake for me girl; I wanna be your back door man". What more needs to be said?

35 years later and LZII is STILL getting huge airplay on all classic rock stations nationwide. The good Dr. prescribes a full dose of Led for all who want to rock it out on a Saturday night.

Hell yeah Doc!

Great minds, I've been spending some time with my good friend Jack tonight, and Houses of the Holy is spinning right now on the Thorens.

No critical listening tonight, just rockin' the house, and putting the spurs to the amps a bit.

Cheers,
Rooster

Yeah, to stay on topic, 'Houses of the Holy' is the Zep album that I enjoy the most. It would really be something if they hirez'd that album, or any Zep album for that matter.

I thoroughly enjoy every LZ album, and will patiently await the SACD or DVD-A release....if it ever comes. :) Rock on Doc!

Led Zeppelin is my favorite band of all time. always was...

Ditto that for me.. hands down.

Their ability to play different types of rock and roll combined with a blues influence makes for a wonderful variety.

You guys need to check out the "Led Zeppelin" music DVD if you get a chance. It is awesome.

I think it is $22 at Best Buy:

I found a DTS copy of Houses of the Holy a few months ago on a news group. It's not SACD but it sounds DAMN SWEET!

Led Zeppelin is where rock music begins and ends for me. Good thread Doc. I like all the albums, so it's hard to pick a favorite, it's kind of a mood thing. I, too, have the boxed set, the DVD, and the new How the West Was Won set. Sometimes I think the first album is my fav, but then I remember how great Physical Grafitti is. They're all great. I actually have a lot more respect for Presence than most fans I know. Tea for One is a great song, very atmospheric. A nice one to kick back and drink to, or listen to while driving on country roads, late at night under the stars. So much great music. Rock on!

Great thread! Reading the thread & having going to california playing at the same time! LZ How the west was won is one of my favorite cd's ( all 3 discs). Immigrant Song & Moby Dick among my favorit from LZ! The DVD is great but I prefer the cd mix.
